Product Details
How bright is the Loox5 LED2104 strip and what does 4000K cool white look like?
This Loox5 strip provides 9.6 W per metre and is rated at 4000K for a cool white colour. In practical terms, 4000K is a neutral to cool white tone that works well for areas where you want clear visibility, such as kitchens, shelving and display zones.
Can I cut this LED strip to the exact length I need?
The strip is designed in section lengths of 8.33 mm, which makes it suitable for trimming to size where required. Because the ability to cut depends on using the correct cut points, plan your layout first and only cut along the marked section positions to keep the run working correctly.
Is the LED strip dimmable, and what dimmer type should I use?
Yes, the Loox5 LED2104 strip is dimmable. For best results, use a compatible 12 V LED dimmer and driver combination that is suitable for LED strips, since dimming performance depends on the control gear used with the strip.
What is the maximum continuous run I should install?
Although the strip is supplied as 50 m total, the manufacturer specifies a visual maximum strip length of 2.5 m. For longer layouts, consider using multiple shorter runs or appropriate wiring to avoid noticeable brightness drop.
What kind of installation does the Loox5 LED strip use?
Installation is self adhesive, which makes it straightforward for mounting under shelves, around furniture outlines, or behind glass edges. For a clean bond, fit on firm, dry, grease free surfaces and press along the length before switching on.
Where can this strip be used safely and what is the protection rating?
The strip has an IP20 protection rating, meaning it is intended for indoor use and protection against larger dust or accidental contact, but it is not designed for areas where it will be exposed to water spray or moisture. It is commonly used for indirect illumination of furniture and display spaces.
What is the bending radius and can it follow corners?
The strip has a minimum bending radius of 30 mm, allowing it to form gentle corners without damaging the LED band. To keep the light even, avoid sharp bends and distribute the pressure while shaping the strip into position.
Does it come with a guarantee and how long is the lifetime support?
Yes, it includes a Hafele Lifetime Guarantee of 7 years. This is designed to give you longer term confidence when choosing a continuous light effect strip for everyday installations.
